How long have you been a realtor? I’ve been a Realtor® for more than 3 years now. Before I began selling real estate I was an administrator for a real estate office. That allowed me to gain experience in the field and learn from different mentors who have successful careers. I work for Royal LePage Signature. We are a franchise office that is independently run. I choose to work for Royal LePage as it is 100% Canadian and has an extremely reputable name. My franchised office is owned by the Slightham family. The Slighthams have owned and operated a real estate office for over 40 years. They offer more training and support than any other office I know of. What area do you specialize in? I tend to specialize in downtown Toronto, including such areas as Leslieville, Riverdale, Upper Beaches, Kings West Village, Queen West, Parkdale, St. Lawrence, Yorkville, and Danforth Village. That being said, this crazy job takes me to all areas of the city, and from that, I do also work in different areas around Toronto. I'm moving to Toronto for the first time. How do I know what part of the city is right for me? You're not alone – Toronto is a growing area, and the incredible energy is drawing people to this great city. To find the right home for you we'll talk about your lifestyle and interests. There's an area right for everyone; I'll help you find yours. You should select a Realtor® who has a great plan to sell your home, who has experience in the field, and a proven track record. You should choose someone you are comfortable with, who doesn’t push you into situations, and helps you make wise decisions. How do you differ from other Realtors®? Results. Did you know that only one in four properties that gets listed for sale actually sells? My list to sale ratio is 98%. In other words, 98% of the properties that I list do sell. I'm selective about the properties I take on, and I work hard to bring about a successful sale. What is your fee for a property appraisal? An appraisal is complimentary and provided to homeowners with no obligation. It's just one of the services we provide at no charge, yours for the asking. Do you give me suggestions on what to do to make my home more saleable? Yes! That's one of the ways I help you to increase the number and quality of showings for your home. I also work with a licensed staging professional who will give you the best advice to get the most money possible for your home. Commission structures are based on the situation at hand. Due to the complex situations in today's real estate market, commissions are different depending on the agreement, whether it's Dual Agency, Single Case Agency, an Exclusive agreement, or a Multiple Listing Agreement. The exact commission will be discussed one-on-one in person between myself and the potential client. I develop an extensive marketing plan that promises to get you the most money possible for your home. No two homes are alike, so my plan will be customized to show off your home's unique features.
